HP StorageWorks Disk Array XP
A separate backup system is connected to the disk array containing the target volumes,
while the source volumes are connected to the application system. Data can be
streamed to tape from the replica using third–party backup software after the pair
has been split, so that during the backup, the application system remains online and
available for use.
Local replication
For local replication, the HP StorageWorks Business Copy (BC) XP configuration is
used. This enables you to create three first-level mirrors for instant recovery purposes,
in other words, a replica rotation set of up to three replicas.
