• Zoning database size increased from 256 KB to 1 MB.
• Long distance mode simplification:
• LD is a dynamic distance mod e that automatically discovers lengths and assigns the correct
amount of buffer credits with an Extended Fabrics license.
• LS is a static distance mode that allows you to specify the number of buffer credits required
with an Extended Fabrics License.
• LE suppor ts up to 10 kilometers at any speed and does not require an Extended Fabrics license.
Prerequisites
Table 1 summarizes current Fabric OS firmware versions. These are the earliest recommended software
versions tha
t work together. However, HP recommends using the latest supported firmware release
versions to
get the greatest benefitfromtheSAN.
