Removing the WWN bezel (logo plate) and WWN card
CAUTION: Wear a grounded ESD strap when handling the WWN card. Use the grounding
connections above the power connectors on the chassis.
To remove the WWN bezel and WWN card:
1. Open a Telnet session to the DC SAN Director and log in to the active CP as admin. The
default password is password.
2. Verify that you are logged into the active CP. Enter the haShow command to determine the
active CP.
3. Enter the fruReplace wwn command from the active CP blade and wait for the phrase Do
you wish to continue [y/n]? to display, and then enter y.
4. Wait until the WWN card data is backed up. Do not enter continue until the mechanical
replacement is complete. See Installing the WWN bezel (logo plate) and WWN
card (page 80).

the whole process to be completed.
If this process is not complete due to a
power cycle, or CP failover, please follow
the recovery procedure in

follow the instructions to complete the operation.

5. Wait until all the LEDs on the WWN bezel turn off.
6. Remove the four screws from the WWN bezel (see Figure 40 (page 80)). Pull the bezel away
from chassis and set it aside. The WWN cards are visible.
7. Remove the WWN card:
If the WWN card has handles, use the handles to remove the card.
If the WWN card does not have handles, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two
screws that secure the WWN card to the chassis, and then remove the card.
8. Set the WWN card on a static-free surface, such as a grounding pad.
