HP IIAS supports only one connection per device. If you concurrently run discovery and data
collection of a switch you may get the following error: Maximum permissible
connections have exceeded. In this case, you can retry the operation after data collection
has completed.

switch for monitoring throws Error

1. Check the check box shown besides
the device IP Address.
2. Click on Test Connectivity button.
a. If the device description gets
updated with Either this is

incorrect, check if the switch
still has the same I/P.
b. Check if SNMP is enabled on the
device.
c. Click on the Edit icon.

credentials can be updated.

String) and click on Save.
3. Click on Monitor Switch(es) button.
4. The device State changes to
Monitored if:
