2-3 Preparing Serviceguard environment

CAUTION:

Unless differently specified, the steps described in the following

paragraphs must be performed on both systems. Take care about caution messages

for operations which must be performed on one server only.

Installing the qlogic driver

The example in this document has been taken from an installation on RedHat 5 update 1

server. Some difference may apply for another distribution.

Install the qlogic driver s follows:

•

Get the package hp_qla2x00-2007-10-05.tar

•

Extract the package:

# tar -xvf hp_qla2x00-2007-10-05.tar

# cd hp_qla2x00-2007-10-05

# ./INSTALL

•

Reboot the systems.

•

After reboot, check that the shared disk is visible:

[root@cmumgt1 ~]# lssd

sda 0,0,0,1 HP HSV200 6110

[root@cmumgt1 ~]# lssd -w

sda 0,0,0,1 HP HSV200 6110 5000-1fe1-5008-fe10
