HP Cluster Management Utility CMU Installation Guide with Serviceguard Version 4.0 (May 2009)

25
On one of the two management servers run the command below to apply the package
configuration:
# cmapplyconf -C $SGCONF/cmu-mgt-clust.config -P
$SGCONF/cmu_sg_pkg/cmu_sg_pkg.config
Note : a NODE_TIMEOUT value of 2000000 was found in line 124. This
value
is recommended if the top priority is to reform the cluster as fast
as possible in case of failure. If the top priority is to minimize
reformations, consider using a higher setting. For more information
see
the cluster configuration ASCII file or the Managing Serviceguard
manual.

WARNING!
In the command above though another configuration file name will work as well, it is
recommended to call the cluster configuration file “cmu-mgt-clust.config” as indicated in the example;
this name is used by cmu tools as saveConfig, restoreConfig, cmu_dump.
Start the management cluster
CAUTION:
This step has to be performed on only one server.
The cluster and the Serviceguard cmu package are now configured but not running:
