SECURITY This menu is displayed only if EAP
Authentication has been selected. Set the
following parameters:
USER NAME: Enter a User Name for the
device. Up to 64 characters of text may be
entered.
PASSWORD: Enter a Password for the
device. Up to 64 characters of text may be
entered.
DYNAMIC KEYS: This item appears if you
selected an authentication method for a
wireless print server that supports dynamic
encryption. Select an available option:
BASIC: Dynamic WEP encryption is
supported.
ROBUST: Dynamic Wi-Fi Protected
Access (WPA) and WEP encryption
protocols are supported.
When configured for EAP/PSK
authentication, the print server uses Robust
encryption (WPA encryption protocols).
When configured for EAP/802.1x
authentication (LEAP, PEAP, TLS, TTLS
only), the print server may be configured
with either Basic encryption or Robust
encryption depending on your network.
Dynamic encryption protocols are under
the control of the authentication server and
also must be supported by the Access
Point.
CONFIGURE PSK PASS-PHRASE: Enter a network
pass-phrase that will be used to generate
the Pre-Shared Key for EAP authentication
on your network.
A pass-phrase must be from 8 to 63 ASCII
characters in the hexadecimal range 21
through 7E (characters 0-9, a-z, A-Z and
numerous special characters including !,
@, #, $, %, ^, &, (, ), _, +, =, -, {, }, [, ], \, /,
“, <, >, ?, “, ‘, ~).
