HP EVA-to-3PAR Online Import Migration Guide (T5494-96606)

NOTE: While adding a new destination 3PAR StoreServ Storage System that has patch 16
applied, the following error message appears:
Unable to validate certificate. Use TPDCertVerifier.bat to update trust source at
<%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%>\InformMC\security\HP-3PAR-MC-TrustSource.
If this error occurs, perform the following steps to add a destination:
a. Login to the server where HP EVA to 3PAR StoreServ Online Import service is running.
b. Locate the trust source as displayed in the error message. Copy the file
HP-3PAR-MC-TrustStore, if available, to the logged in user’s home directory
\InFormMC\security
You can use the echo command %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% to find the current user’s
home directory.
c. Browse to the install location C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\PMM\
PMMTools via the command prompt and run the TPDCertVerifier.bat.
d. Enter the IP address of 3PAR StoreServ and see its certificate details.
e. If you accept the certificate, the trust store will be updated at user’s home directory.
f. Replace the existing trust store file as displayed in the error message with the updated
trust store file.
g. Now perform Add Destination again to add 3PAR StoreServ Storage system.
7. Enter the following information for the destination 3PAR Storage system:
IP address—The DNS hostname of the storage system
User name—User with Super access
Password—Valid password for the user
Secure Connection Select the check box to have a secure connection with the destination
3PAR storage system.
Secure data port and Event port are filled in automatically with default values.
8. Click Add Destination System.
You are returned to the Eligible HP EVA to 3PAR StoreServ Online Import Source/Destination
Systems screen. If the destination storage system was added successfully, it is displayed in the
Eligible 3PAR Destination Storage Systems list.
