a. If the host is a member of a cluster, clear all the SCSI reservations on the cluster disks.
For more information, see “Preparing Windows clusters for migration (page 10).
b. Reconfigure the host to use the 3PAR DSM (Windows 2003) or the native Microsoft MPIO
DSM (Windows 2008, 2008R2, 2012).
Contact your local HP representative for information on acquiring the HP 3PAR MPIO for

19. When the migration is complete, the migration entry is deleted, and the Migration History is
updated with the information about the migration.
Migrating a Windows 2003 host with MSCS cluster
The minimally disruptive migration process is used when migrating a Windows 2003 MSCS cluster.
The host DSM on each host must be reconfigured to communicate with the destination 3PAR storage
system, each host must be shut down briefly and cluster itself must shut down briefly. Host I/O is
interrupted only during the time it takes to reconfigure the host and cluster.
1. In Command View, select the Storage Systems point of view.
2. Select the HP EVA to 3PAR StoreServ Online Import tab.
3. In the left navigation pane, select a host.
You can select a host folder, an individual host, or a user defined host folder.
4. Click Add Migration.
The Add Migration from a Host Selection wizard runs.
