HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1
Description
This document describes the HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1 release that is only for server-based
management part number: T5494–10532 P6000 Command View 9.4.1 Patch.
IMPORTANT: General references to HP P6000 Command View may also refer to earlier versions
of HP Command View EVA. P6000 is the new branding for the Enterprise Virtual Array product family.
To determine which versions of array controller software support HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1,
see Table 2.0, “HP P6000 Command View interoperability support, in the HP P6000 Enterprise
Virtual Array Compatibility Reference. You can find the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility
Reference on the Manuals page of the Business Support Center website:

In the Storage section, click Storage Software, and then select HP P6000 Command View Software
under Storage Device Management Software.
Update recommendation
Users should upgrade to HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1 if already running HP P6000 Command
View 9.4 (previously HP StorageWorks Command View). If HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1 is
already installed, and HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1 installation is initiated, HP P6000 Command
View 9.4.1 will be re-installed. HP P6000 Command View 9.4 is a prerequisite for installing HP P6000
Command View 9.4.1. If HP StorageWorks Command View 9.4 was not installed when starting to
install HP StorageWorks Command View 9.4.1, the installation exits with the following error message:
The HP StorageWorks Command View EVA Software Suite 9.4 needs to be
installed on the system in order to apply the 9.4.1 patch.
CAUTION: To preserve the following HP P6000 Command View 9.4 files, back them up before the
upgrade because they will be overwritten during installation of HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1:

HP P6000 Command View
This section contains information about fixes, compatibility and interoperability, and workarounds and
limitations for HP P6000 Command View 9.4.1.
Fixes
Operational state of disk groups for EVA3000/EVA5000 arrays is reported correctly.
In the SNMP configuration, the user-defined configurations in the
nsauserdefineddescriptions.txt file are preserved through service restarts of HP P6000
Command View EVA.
The SSSU DELETE FOLDER command does not delete the virtual disk if the specified path points
directly to a virtual disk rather than to a folder.
