This data is viewable in the Command View TL user interface. It can also be exported, on demand
or at scheduled times, to a comma-separated-values (.CSV) format file for analysis with spreadsheet
programs or custom scripts.
NTP clock synchronization
The Interface Manager can now synchronize its clock and the clocks of other library components
(such as the Library Controller and Interface Controllers) with Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.
Added media properties
The inventory page now displays more properties of media in the library, including vendor, format,
capacity, write protection, WORM, and encryption properties.
Detects when tape drive needs cleaning
The drive description on the Health Summary page will now indicate when a drive is in need of
cleaning.
Individual tape drive reboot
Added new capability to reboot a single tape drive through either the Command View TL user
interface or the command line interface.
Dynamic upgrade to LTO4
This is a new wizard to assist in upgrading from LTO2 and LTO3 tape drives to LTO4. Previously,
this was a detailed manual process.
Detection of LUN holes in Host Maps (command line interface only)
Example: Map LUNs 0, 1, 2, then remove LUN 1. The command line interface will now show
where holes exist and suggests how to save them.
NOTE: Does not automatically fix holes.
Ability to delete hosts from Secure Manager (command line interface only)
This enhancement is important in large SANs. It is used if user adds a host with a typo in the
WWN, or if a host is removed from SAN.
Active session detection
Launcher page now displays the number of Command View for Tape Libraries sessions logged
into a library. Allows user to see when others are logged into the library.
Guided troubleshooter
A guided troubleshooter now helps guide the user through the resolution of common problems.
A link on the Command View TL user interface support tab provides easy access to this tool.
Command View for Tape Libraries tells users how to clear red drive status when SKM policy is
changed
If partitioning or other configurations change, the SKM security policy must change, and the drive
status is displayed as red, Command View for Tape Libraries now guides the user through fixing
this problem when it occurs.
New device analysis logs New device analysis logs section has been added into the Management
stations support ticket.

IPv6 Support
The library can be configured to use Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) or version 4, or a dual-stack
combination. Library network interfaces can be configured for multi-homing on IPv6 using link-local,
