HP StoreEver Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL) v. 3.7 and Interface Manager Firmware v I274 Release Notes

After a drive had been physically replaced, the maps from the old drive would not get moved to
the new drive. This would result in the user having to clear all the drives and remap all hosts. This
item is fixed.
The Interface Manager now flags drives that are the wrong type (for example, EML drive in an
ESL E-Series library).
Stale sessions would cause connectivity and memory issues. Stale sessions are now cleared more
often.
The red light on the Interface Manager card will now blink 5 times in 6 seconds if the flash is
read-only and needs to be replaced. The status of the Interface Manager will be set to red, in
both the command line interface and the user interface, with a description that the flash is read-only
and that it needs to be replaced. Also, the status displays the part number. The red Interface
Manager status and description will show up in the show lib status or show mgmt status
commands on the command line interface. In the user interface, the health status for the Interface
Manager will also show the red Interface Manager.
When the connection between the Interface Manager and the Library was broken, the library
clock could not be set and the library could not reach a ready (green) state. This item is fixed.
Previously, rebooting the Interface Manager resulted in several failed connections listed in the
Interface Manager log due to the inability to “find a device management path. This item is fixed.
In some situations, proactive support tickets would not populate in the TapeAssure database on
an ELS E-Series library. This item is fixed.
After replacing the robot in an EML, firmware downloaded to the library would fail. This issue
was due to incorrect certificates allowing communication between the Interface Manager and the
robot. This item is fixed.
Version 2.6.01
In the e-mail address fields, the dash (–) was not a valid character. This item has been fixed.
On the Tape Properties screen, the drive serial number was labeled as Library SN. This item has
been fixed.
If you are using Netbackup or Backup Exec, tape barcode information did not parse into the
TapeAssure data base. This item has been fixed.
Version 2.6.00
Restoring saved configuration fails while synchronizing access control groups In libraries containing
LTO-4 drives, there was the potential that the management path was lost to one or more drives
during a restore configuration operation. The final error message indicated that the operation
failed when synchronizing access control groups. This item has been fixed.
Secure Manager synchronization fails when missing devices are present Due to residual interface
controller devices in the Interface Manager’s internal database, a failure could occur during
Secure Manager synchronization. The origin of the problem occurred when an interface controller
was physically removed from the library or unplugged, and the interface manager had not been
reset to defaults. This item has been fixed.
Direct attach port mode for interface controller(s) not connecting When an interface controller
channel host ports were configured to use a ‘Direct Attach’ connection, host bus adapters failed
to connect to the interface controller. The issue has been fixed in the interface controller firmware
(5.9.63).
Interface controller returning more data than requested in CDB The Interface Controller could send
all data to a host for log page requests, even though the host only requested 256 bytes. This item
has been fixed.
