HP StoreEver Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL) v. 3.7 and Interface Manager Firmware v I274 Release Notes

Restoring a previously saved configuration can fail When restoring a previously saved Interface
Manager configuration, a failure could occur when restoring the LTO4 drive port settings. This
item has been fixed.
After setting factory defaults via the Operator Control Panel, drives do not login to McData switch
Only ESL E-Series libraries are affected by this behavior. The fix has been implemented in 7.5
ESL E-Series library firmware.
Turning encryption off times out Disabling encryption times out in the Command View TL user
interface in certain library configurations with 24 or more drives. The operation timed out, however,
the operation was successful. This item has been fixed.
Restoring Interface Manager configuration fails If media is loaded in drives during a restore
configuration operation, it could fail the operation while the drive(s) were being rebooted due to
a timeout. There are now longer timeouts during the drive reboot phase of the restore configuration
operation.
Command View for Tape Libraries ‘System Health’ status reports red/yellow while all
sub-components report green During a library reboot or Interface Manager reboot, the drive
health status was not being reset to an initializing state. There was the potential in some libraries
that the overall System Health did not correctly reflect the health of its sub-components. This item
has been fixed.
Large drive support ticket requests failing There was the potential for a failure on larger libraries
when the user pulled a support ticket for all of the drives in the library. One or more of the
generated support tickets were being deleted before the management station could retrieve the
file. This item has been fixed.
Interface Manager firmware failed to download The web server running on the Interface manager
would log errors to a set of files on the local file system in rare circumstances. The logs would
grow until all space was filled up on the local disk, thus causing a firmware download failure. In
version I260, these files are zeroed before the downloads start.
User allowed to pull support tickets on unavailable drives which causes failure The command line
interface was not handling support ticket failures and always assumed success despite an
unavailable management path. This item has been fixed.
TapeAssure generated alerts appear to be duplicates TapeAssure generated alerts in the Command
View for Tape Libraries alert log could have the same exact timestamp for numerous alerts which
made the alerts appear like duplicates. This behavior was a display issue, and has been fixed.
Command line interface-generated library support tickets fail When running the command line
interface command save library ltt, the operation times out even though the Interface
Manager is still processing the request. This item has been fixed.
Incorrect error message when exporting a TapeAssure .csv file If there was no filename entered
when selecting the destination location for an exported *.csv file, a dialog was presented to the
user with a title of No File Selected, with contents “Please select a configuration file to restore".
This item has been fixed.
TapeAssure is generating temperature alerts for blank entries Some proactively retrieved support
tickets from drives had blank entries for the drive temperature or tape temperature which were
unnecessarily generating “Current temperature has exceeded... and “Maximum temperature has
exceeded... alerts. This item has been fixed.
Concurrent LTO4 drive firmware downloads fail Downloading firmware to 12 or more LTO4
drives concurrently could result in a download failure to one or more of the selected drives. This
item has been fixed.
SNMP configuration not being successfully saved/restored The SNMP configuration settings were
not being saved in the Interface Manager saved configuration file. Since the settings were not
being saved, they were not restored during a restore configuration operation. This item has been
fixed.
