HP StoreEver Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL) v. 3.7 and Interface Manager Firmware v I274 Release Notes

New device analysis logs New device analysis logs section has been added into the Management
stations support ticket.
Wizard for replacing Interface Controller fails The wizard for replacing the Interface Controller
an EML was failing to properly find a replacement in two cases now fixed in the I250, both of
which are related to partitioning:
Replacing an Interface Controller on a partitioned library that is just serving as the SCSI over
IP Protocol (SIPP) master, and not connected to any other devices. This would be the case on
an LTO4-only library.
Replacing any of the IFCs in a partitioned library that is not a SIPP library.
Version 2.4.00
Status counter in Command View for Tape Libraries is displaying total number of alerts, not just
the past 5 days The counter table in the upper right hand corner of Command View for Tape
Libraries no longer displays the total cumulative numbers, but displays the correct 5 day numbers.
Interface Manager Support Ticket includes WWN Retention policy information The Interface
Manager support ticket no longer includes details for WWN retention (configuration data that is
not used anymore).
LTO4 drive ports reported as "down" after reboot of ESL E-Series library Previously, following a
power-cycle of an ESL E-Series library some LTO4 drives may have had their fibre channel ports
reported as "down" in Command View for Tape Libraries and the library front panel. This no
longer happens.
Cannot upgrade firmware on drive that has recently been replaced On a recently replaced drive,
Command View for Tape Libraries would not allow you to select the drive in order to update
firmware. This no longer happens.
Command View recent alerts window The Command View recent alerts window didn’t reset the
alert counters upon a change in days. Now it does.
Automatically enable WWN retention In 2.xx firmware Interface Manager configuration WWN
Retention policy variable was saying it was disabled when the wizard for replacing the Interface
Controller always retains the WWN names. The Interface Manager support ticket should now
show WWN Retention Policy: Automatically enable WWN retention.
Interface Controller WWN mismatch reported after replacing the Interface Manager board Replacing
the Interface Controller board would display an Interface Controller WWN mismatch. This has
been fixed.
Disable Telnet also now disables rexec, rlogin, rsh or irsh The set inet telnet disable
command is new. It is also disables rexec, rlogin, rsh or irsh commands.
Fix for Interface Manager database corruption This issues can cause multiple symptoms depending
on what was corrupted in the Interface Manager data base (for example, map got corrupted,
library could not communicate, telnet quit working). This has been fixed.
Fix for 5-day sliding window for Alerts Window The count for all alerts were showing up in the
5 sliding window. This has been fixed.
SMI-S Provider now supports 1.2 model The SNMP traps can be filtered with a MIB editor.
Set a MIB field hpicfTrapDestFilter to the desired value:
14 = receive Critical, Warning, and Informational traps (default)
12 = receive only Critical and Warning traps
8 = receive only Critical traps
The SNMP address for hpicfTrapDestFilter is: .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.4.10.2.1.6.
