Firmware Download, Support Ticket, and Move Media operations do not show progress
- Command View for Tape Libraries appears unresponsive
Symptom: Operations that show a progress bar in Command View for Tape Libraries (Firmware
Download, Support Tickets, Move Media, etc.) do not show any updates in progress while the operation
is being performed. Command View for Tape Libraries appears unresponsive and the browser must
be halted by the Windows task manager.
Cause: Windows XP, Service Pack 2, includes a firewall that generally blocks access to network ports
that the management station needs to communicate with the Interface Manager. Please configure your
firewall to open access to port 8098 (TCP), 8099 (TCP), and 18098 (TCP SSL) on your management
station. Running the Connectivity Check from the Command View for Tape Libraries Launcher will
verify that the management station can communicate with the Interface Manager.
Workaround: In order to allow remote access to your management station from behind a firewall other
ports may need to be opened as well. Please read the 'Command View for Tape Libraries access
through a firewall' section for more details.

reboot the Interface Manager
