Command View for Tape Libraries Launcher error loading, unable to view libraries
Symptom: Assuming that Command View has been previously installed, there is a potential issue after
Command View for Tape Libraries installation/upgrade where the Command View TL user interface

The user sees an exception dialog with the high level error description of Error unmarshalling return,
which is followed with more detailed error information.
This error has been seen when the underlying Java cache on the host machine is inconsistent, and
must be manually purged.
Workaround: To purge the Java cache, do the following:
1. Go to the Java Control Panel via Start->Control Panel->Java on the machine that is encountering
this exception.
2. Under the General tab, select the Delete Files… button contained within the Temporary Internet
Files frame.
3. A Delete Temporary Files dialog box will be presented to the user with check boxes next to various
items that should be deleted.
4. Please ensure that all of the items are checked, then press the OK button.
5. Finally, select the OK button from the Java Control Panel application.

No events/updates received from ESL library
Symptom: Library management actions launched on an ESL library from Command View for Tape
Libraries, such as firmware downloads, restore configuration commands, reset defaults, etc. appear
to be started, but no progress is reported, and the action eventually times out.
This can occur if Command View for Tape Libraries is running on a computer other than the primary
management station for the library.
Workaround: To receive events and updates, point the Command View TL user interface at the IP
address of the primary management station for the library you are trying to manage, as follows:
In the address bar, replace the IP address or DNS name currently being used, with the IP address
or DNS name of the Primary Management Server for the given library.
