Installing Command View TL on a non-English Windows system fails to install the
Command View TL database
Symptom: Installing Command View TL on a non-English Windows operating system fails to install the
Command View TL database
Workaround:
1. Open the install database file in Wordpad:
C:\Program files\Hewlett-Packard\Command View TL\config\CVINSTALLDB.bat
NOTE: If you find the path to these files to be different on your windows machine please change
the instructions to use that path.
2. In the line CACLS %POSTGREDATADIR% /E /G "Users":F >> %OutFilePath% change
the Users group name to the appropriate localized Windows group name. Save and close the
file.
3. From the command line, run the CVINSTALLDB.bat:

“Launch anywhere error while installing CIMOM version.” error appears during
installation
Symptom: During Command View TL installation, the Launch anywhere error while
installing CIMOM version. error message appears.
Workaround: The Windows Management Instrumentation service must be running during installation.
1. Uninstall Command View TL.
2. From the Start Menu, click Run.
3. Enter the Services.msc command.
4. Verify that the Windows Management Instrumentation service has started.
5. Install Command View TL.
SNMP traps do not work with an IPv6 trap address for ESL and EML libraries
Symptom: SNMP traps do not work with an IPv6 trap address for ESL and EML libraries.
Workaround: This issue will be addressed in a future release.
Found in version: i273 and earlier
EML front panel displays IP addresses as “NOT SET”
Symptom: After changing both IPv6 and IPv4 settings at the same time on the EML front panel, the
front panel displays the addresses as NOT SET. Specifically, disabling IPv6 and enabling IPv4
simultaneously will result in the symptom.
Workaround: Change the settings one at a time. For example, modify the IPv6 settings and wait for
the front panel to refresh before modifying the IPv4 settings.
A message to restart the browser appears while upgrading the JRE
Symptom: While upgrading JRE 1.6.0_24 from lower versions of 1.6.0_xx a message to restart the
browser appears.
Workaround: Close all browser windows and continue the JRE 1.6.0_24 upgrade.
