HP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.2 User Guide

The copy pair status can be displayed at various levels: for example, for an individual copy group,
or for the type of volume replication functionality (the copy type). The status of the copy pair within
that grouping that has the most serious (highest priority) status is referred to as the summary pair
status.
The priority of copy pair statuses, starting from the most serious, is as follows:
1. error
2. suspend
3. copying
4. sync
5. simplex
6. unknown
By looking at the most significant copy pair status, you can identify which problems should be resolved
first.

Conditions for determining copy pair status
The copy pair status displayed in Replication Manager is determined by the combination of primary
and secondary volume copy pair states. This status varies according to the copy type.
The following table shows the conditions for determining copy pair status when the copy type is
Continuous Access Asynchronous, Continuous Access Synchronous, or Continuous Access Journal
(the table has been split into three parts).
