HP P9000 Replication Manager Software Update Release Notes 7.1.0-01 (TB584-96033, July 2011)

• On the Group Management page of Pair Configuration wizard on a mainframe system, if a user
selected the HS check box, the Apply Open/MF CTG check box, or both, saved the workflow,
and then started the Group Management page again from workflow editing, Replication Manager
incorrectly cleared one or both of the aforementioned check boxes. Even if the user reselected
the cleared check boxes, Replication Manager did not reflect the selected options.
• When creating a 3DC multi-target configuration in the Pair Configuration Wizard, if user set
Required Execution Time to a future date and time for both P9000 Continuous Access Journal (or
Continuous Access XP Journal) and 3DC Delta Resync on the Task Management page, task editing
failed with the KAVN00575-E (RPM-00477) error message.
• On the Task List window, if a user selected tasks for editing existing 3DC multi-target configurations
and for creating new 3DC multi-target configurations and then opened the Edit Task window with
both types of tasks selected, both the JNLG ID(P) and JNLG ID(S) lists are available.
• In the Pair Configuration Wizard, if a user added a copy pair to the Business Copy copy group
that has no CTGID added by specifying an option, execution of a created task fails with the
RPM-03327 or RPM-03300 error message.
• On the Task List window, if a user selected a task that creates a copy group with a 3DC multi-target
configuration and changed the settings information, editing of the task failed with the
KAVN00209-E error message.
• If a user selected both the P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal task and the Delta P9000/XP
Continuous Access Journal task in a 3DC Delta Resync configuration and then performed task
editing, the task failed with the KAVN02502-E error message.
• Replication Manager might output the KAVN00004-E (RPM-01014) error message to the
Replication Manager event log when the Replication Manager service stopped.
• When using the Firefox browser in Linux, on the Edit Task page for Business Copy or Snapshot
copy type, a user could select the Assign CTG for At-Time Split check box, but the CTGID list was
unavailable.
• When using the Firefox browser in Linux, on Edit Task of P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal
for a 3DC multi-target configuration, a user could set the Required Execution Time to a time later
than the Execution Request Time for 3DC Delta Resync. If a user clicked the OK button, it failed
with the KAVN00575-E (RPM-00477) error message. If the user clicked the Back button, Replication
Manager displayed Edit Task incorrectly.
• The drmsqlrecovertool operation (used to recover databases) might fail with the KAVX1358-E
message.
Important considerations
Replacing secondary volumes of Continuous Access Synchronous or Continuous Access
Journal in a 3DC multi-target configuration (open systems)
To replace all the secondary volumes included in a Continuous Access Synchronous or P9000/XP
Continuous Access Journal copy pair, launch the Pair Configuration Wizard more than once to replace
the secondary volumes according to the following procedure.
1. Generate and execute the replacement tasks to partly replace the secondary volumes of the
Continuous Access Synchronous or P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal copy pair.
2. Generate and execute the replacement tasks for the secondary volumes not replaced in step 1.
If you use Pair Configuration Wizard only once to generate and execute the replacement tasks for all
of the secondary volumes in the Continuous Access Synchronous or P9000/XP Continuous Access
Journal copy pair, task execution might fail.
