Confirm that the value of the GI attribute is E (= INQUIRY is allowed).
For a configuration in which user authentication of the command device is Enabled and operations
using Application Agent and RAID Manager coexist, the user who executes each operation must
meet either of the following conditions below:
Among multiple user accounts that have the same user name (example: Administrator) but
different log-on destinations (such as the domain user and local user), use only one user
account.
Use different user names (example: Domain\Administrator1 and Local\Administrator2) for
each operation.
If a user does not follow the instructions, the user might be logged off from the storage system
because, even though the user authentication for the command device has finished, another user
might overwrite the authentication information when that user executes authentication.
In a configuration where user authentication of the command device is Enabled, you must use the
same case-sensitive user name when logging on to the OS for all of the following operations:
When performing the user authentication of the command device
When performing the operation of Application Agent
When setting the execution account for the Application Agent service
The user name is not case sensitive when the user logs on to Windows, but the user authentication
functionality of RAID Manager handles the user name specified when the user logs on to the OS
as case sensitive. Therefore, Application Agent may fail with the following error message in spite
of finishing the user authentication:
KAVX0006-E An error that stopped processing occurred.
Cause = DRM-10339: The user has not been authorized by RAID Manager.
Note that in a configuration where user authentication of the command device is Enabled, if
performing the operation in a status where the prerequisites for Application Agent are not met or
if logging off from a storage system when Application Agent is running, an unexpected error or
freeze of the Application Agent may occur.
If Application Agent stops responding, perform the following procedures for recovery:
1. Start the Windows Task Manager.
2. Select the Application Agent process in the Image Name column of the Processes tab.
The process name starts with drm.
3. Click the Terminate Process button.
4. Select the RAID Manager process in the Image Name column of the Processes tab.
