NOTE: To confirm the RAID Manager process name output to the last record of the log,
open the Application Agent trace log file.
The Application Agent trace log file name:
<Installation-destination-of-Application-Agent>\DRM\log\drm_pp_trace<X>.log
(where <X> is a numeric character)
5. Click the Terminate Process button.
Note the following item when performing replica operations for Microsoft SQL Server using
Application Agent.
Application Agent does not support the following SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2
functionality:
FILESTREAM Data
Change Data Capture
Change Tracking
Backup Compression (Database)
Backup Compression (Transaction Log)
Shrinking a Database

Using a virtual command device to manage copy pairs
The following message may appear in a configuration that uses a virtual command device to manage
copy pairs:
Failed to call the Device Manager agent (Agent error code: RPM-03216)
[RPM-01629]
This message appears if one of the following conditions is met:
The storage system does not authenticate the user when using the SVP as a virtual command
device.
When using the virtual command device server as a virtual command device and the user
authentication setting of the command device is Enabled.
If this message appears, perform one of the following actions. Select the measure that best fits the
configuration you are using.
When using the SVP as a virtual command device:
Make sure that you are using a supported version of RAID Manager (or XP RAID Manager).
Authenticate the users in the storage system.
When using the virtual command device server as a virtual command device:
Make sure that you are using a supported version of RAID Manager/XP RAID Manager.
Disable the user authentication setting of the command device, or authenticate the user in the
storage system.
