HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software 7.2 Release Notes

The virtualization server product VMware ESXi 5.0 is now supported in the Device Manager
server and Device Manager agent.

The registration of storage systems, virtualization of volumes, and cancellation of volume
virtualization is now supported for the following SMI-S Enabled storage systems in the Device
Manager CLI:
HP Enterprise Virtual Array series
EMC CLARiiON series
IBM System Storage DS8000 series
The registration of storage systems is now supported for the following SMI-S Enabled storage
systems in the Device Manager GUI:
HP Enterprise Virtual Array series
EMC CLARiiON series
IBM System Storage DS8000 series
Multiple hosts can now be selected from the Allocate Volumes dialog box in the Device Manager
GUI, after which volumes can be allocated.
The Device Manager GUI has been improved so that you can now allocate volumes from the
THP/Smart Volumes List window.
Volumes can be allocated by using the existing setting in the Device Manager GUI.
The Device Manager GUI now supports the LUSE management function.
The Device Manager GUI now allows you to display the list of volumes from the Details windows
of parity groups.
The search function in the Device Manager GUI has been improved as follows:
The search function has been integrated into the GUI, and the Search tab has been removed.
Keyword searches are no longer limited to resource types.
The Global Link Manager agent is now installed together with the Device Manager agent on
HP-UX (IPF) hosts.
Fixes
When a full restore of a system in Windows was performed by using any product in which a
system was backed up or restored, the operating system could not start. The issue regarding the
Host Data Collector remains. See “Windows machine with Host Data Collector installed” (page 5)
in “Important considerations (page 5) for more information.
A task status appeared as Failed with the error message KAIC08101-E, KAIC08104-E,
KAIC08105-E, or KAIC08107-E, even though the task had succeeded.
When Command View Advanced Edition Suite was accessed through non-SSL communication
and the login screen appeared, an internal error was recorded in the System event log in Event
Viewer on a management client side machine. (level: Error, Source: Schannel, Event
ID: 36888, Message: The Following fatal alert was generated: 10. The
internal error state is 10.)
When creating or editing logical groups with the condition that the volumes must be external,
some external volumes could not be displayed.
The response time displayed in the Mobility tab was 1,000 times longer than the actual response
time.
