KAIC07663-E in Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning
When the Add Storage operation is performed, the KAIC07663-E message might occur if you
attempt to allocate a beyond the maximum number of recognizable storage devices by the VMware
ESX Server.
Confirm the maximum number of recognizable storage devices by the VMware ESX Server, and then,
after unallocating the volumes from the VMware ESX Server, perform the Add Storage operation
again.
Object name, name of a host, and name of a host in the virtualization server
When the Edit Label-object-name dialog box appears from the following windows, if the object name
does not use A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~, the dialog box
does not appear correctly.
• Host-name subwindow
• Virtualization-server-name subwindow
• Virtual-machine-name subwindow
• External-port-name subwindow
If this occurs, edit the LDEV label to use the correct character set.
The Merge Host - host-name dialog box and the dialog box for confirming the merging of hosts do
not appear correctly if the name of a host in the source host list does not use one of the following
characters:
A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~.
The Add Virtualization Server - Completed dialog box does not appear correctly if the name of a host
in the virtualization server list does not use any of the following characters:
A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~.
