HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software 7.1.1-01 Release Notes (TB581-96070, September 2011)

Changing a storage system configuration
When changing the configuration while refreshing information about an XP or P9500 storage system,
the KAIC05000-E error might appear. If this occurs, retry the configuration changes.
Installation directory for UNIX
Do not install Command View Advanced Edition Suite in the following directories:
/usr
/usr/local
/var
If Device Manager earlier than 7.0.0-00 is already installed in one of above directories, the upgrade
installation will not complete successfully. Remove Device Manager earlier than 7.0.0-00, perform a
new installation of the latest version of Command View Advanced Edition Suite, and move the database.
For details about moving the database, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced
Edition Suite Software Administrator Guide.
1. Export the database.
2. Remove Device Manager earlier than 7.0.0-00.
3. Install the latest version of Command View Advanced Edition Suite in a directory other than /usr,
/usr/local, or /var.
4. Import the database.
Filtering by capacity
Do not use the = (equal) operator to filter by capacity. Use the > (greater than), < (less than), >=
(greater than or equal to), or >= (less than or equal to) operators to filter by capacity.
Internet Explorer 9.0 InPrivate browsing
During InPrivate Browsing Mode, the browsing history might remain in the browser.
Internet Explorer 9.0 Download Manager
Download information of CSV export is not displayed in the download manager screen of Internet
Explorer 9.0.
Using the GUI with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008
Because Internet Explorer on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 enables Internet
Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) by default, you might experience the following
situations:
Loading animation does not move.
You cannot download files from a server with HTTPS enabled.
If this occurs, disable the Configure IE ESC.
Rule for configuration definition file
When the version of Device Manager agent is 6.0 or later, a Continuous Access Journal copy pair
can be created even if MU# in HORCM_DEV parameter is omitted.
However, when MU# in HORCM_DEV parameter is omitted, multi-target configuration Continuous
Access pairs cannot be created.
Displaying THP pool names and pool identifiers
A THP pool name is managed in Device Manager and Remote Web Console, respectively.
