This section describes the system configuration that is required to use the performance information
acquisition function, and how to specify settings for acquiring performance information.
Required system configuration for acquiring performance information
This section describes the system configuration required to acquire performance information of a
storage system.
The following figure shows an example system configuration when such information is acquired.

Management server
A management server is a server in which Device Manager server version 5.9 or later is installed.
You must set the management server so that CIM/WBEM can be used. For details on how to set
up CIM/WBEM, see Enabling CIM/WBEM functions on page 146 and Setting up ports used
by CIM/WBEM on page 147.
Host that acquires performance information
This host is required when acquiring performance information of P9500, XP24000/XP20000 or
XP12000/XP10000/SVS200. Device Manager agent version 7.0 or later is required for P9500
storage systems, and Device Manager agent version 5.9 or later is required for
XP24000/XP20000 or XP12000/XP10000/SVS200 storage systems.
