Notes on this Help system
The following is a list of notes on this Help system:
1. Printing the content of a pop-up window
On all platforms, to print the content of a pop-up window, right-click the pop-up window, and
then select Print.
If you click the Print icon in the upper right corner, the contents of the pop-up window and the
background window are printed on top of each other.
2. About fuzzy search
On all platforms, the online help uses fuzzy search. The results of fuzzy search include the singular
form of a noun even if you specify the plural form, and the past tense of a verb even if you specify
the present tense. For example, if you search for the word appeared, instances of appear and
appears are also found.
3. About searching for more than 30 words
On all platforms, specify less than 29 words when you search. Searches on more than 30 words
may not run correctly.
4. About Help system operation with Internet Explorer 7.0
Correct operation with Internet Explorer 7.0 is guaranteed within the same usage range as Internet
Explorer 6.0. Correct operation of functions such as tab browsing is not guaranteed.
5. About Help system operation with Mozilla version 1.7 on Solaris, HP-UX, or Linux
After several uses, the forward or backward buttons above the topic viewing pane may not
operate.
The borderline is not visible between the body of the Help and the buttons displayed in the
top of the window.
Selected items are not highlighted for Index and Search functions.
When the back button is repeatedly clicked, it becomes inactive.
Notes about the SMI-S Indication Function
In interop namespace, only the query described in SMI-S1.3 can be set for the Query property of
CIM_IndicationFilter.
Notes on changed port attributes
When the channel speed or topology of the port for the high speed mode (*1) is changed for the
XP1024/XP128, XP12000/XP10000/SVS200, or XP24000/XP20000 storage system, Device
Manager is supposed to update the information for all ports in the high-speed mode unit (*2). However,
the information for the ports other than the specified port is displayed incorrectly, as described below.
*1 When the high-speed mode is applied to a port controller, some ports are grouped to create a
high-speed mode unit, which is used for connecting to the host.
