CAUTION: The setting value of each kernel parameter and shell restriction must not exceed the
maximum value defined for the OS.
CAUTION: Set the shell restrictions for both soft and hard. At this time, you must set the value
for soft to a value that is smaller than the value for hard.
CAUTION: After changing the kernel parameters or shell restrictions, execute the reboot
command to restart the system.
The installer of the Device Manager server checks each kernel parameter and shell restriction by
referring to the installer checking values listed in the table below. If a specified value is less than the
corresponding installer checking value, installation fails.
