5-2-2 Stopping Common Component
To stop Common Component in a Windows environment:
HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
HiRDB
When you stop the above services, you must also stop the services of XP Command View AE Suite
at the same time. For details about how to stop Common Component and the services of XP
Command View AE Suite at the same time, see section
3-6 in Windows, and see section 4-4 in
Linux.
You might want to stop HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service in order, for example, for the
changes to properties to take effect. The following shows how to stop HBase Storage Mgmt
Common Service.
To stop HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service:
1. Log in to the system as a user with Administrator permissions in Windows, or as a root user in
Linux.
2. Stop the Common Component services:
In Windows:
<common component installation folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /stop /server
HBase
The following shows an example of executing the command:
C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\Base\bin\hcmdssrv /stop /server HBase
In Linux:
<common component installation directory>/bin/hcmdssrv -stop -
server HBase
The following shows an example of executing the command:
# /opt/CVXPAE/Base/bin/hcmdssrv -stop -server HBase
NOTE: Do not stop the Common Component services while another XP Command View AE Suite
program is running.
3. Execute the following command to check whether HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service has
stopped:
In Windows:
<common component installation folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /status /server
HBase
In Linux:
<common component installation directory>/bin/hcmdssrv -status -
server HBase
If the following messages appear, the services have stopped:
KAPM05009-I Already stopped service. service-name=HBase Storage Mgmt
