7. Edit the pdutsys file and the def_pdsys file.
Change the value for the pd_hostname parameter to the loopback address 127.0.0.1. If the
pd_hostname parameter does not exist, add the pd_hostname parameter, specifying the
loopback address.
The following describes the storage destinations for the pdutsys file and def_pdutsys file.
In Windows:
<common component installation folder>\HDB\CONF\pdutsys
<common component installation folder>\database\work\def_pdutsys
In Linux:
<common component installation directory>/HDB/conf/pdutsys
<common component installation directory>/database/work/def_pdutsys
8. Edit the HiRDB.ini file.
Change the value for the PDHOST parameter to the loopback address 127.0.0.1.
The following describes the storage destination for the HiRDB.ini file.
In Windows:
<common component installation folder>\HDB\CONF\emb\HiRDB.ini
In Linux:
<common component installation directory>/HDB/conf/emb/HiRDB.ini
9. Edit the cluster.conf file (only for a cluster configuration).
Change the corresponding logical host name, executing node's host name, and standby node's
host name to the new host names.
The following describes the storage destination for the cluster.conf file.
In Windows:
<common component installation folder>\conf\cluster.conf
10. Change the host name for the management server, and then restart the machine.
If the host name for the management server has already been changed, just restart the
machine.
11. Make sure that the XP Command View AE Suite Common Component service is running:
For Windows:
Select Start, Programs, XP Command View AE, Device Manager, and then Server and
Common Services Status.
For Linux:
Execute the following command:
<common component installation directory>/bin/hcmdssrv -status
12. Execute the hcmdschgurl command to change the host name in the URL for starting web
client.
For details on how to use the hcmdschgurl command, see subsection
5-5-2 .
5-7 Security settings for user accounts
To prevent users' passwords from being guessed by a third party, the Device Manager allows
password conditions (the minimum number of characters and the combination of characters that can
be used) to be specified. You can also have user accounts locked automatically if the wrong
password is repeatedly entered for a specific user ID.
