XP Continuous Access Journal Software must be enabled.
There must be a fibre-channel connection between the two ports used

RCU port must be an RCU Target port.

The RCU and the MCU-RCU path must be registered in the MCU.

NOTE: To change the port configuration, use the XP Remote Web
Console for XP24000/XP20000 and XP12000/XP10000/SVS200. In the
Device Manager server, refresh storage subsystem information after
you configure the ports.
The subsystem cache or non-volatile storage must be sufficient. For
details about XP Continuous Access Journal Software, including how to
change the port configuration and a description of the required cache,
see the XP Continuous Access Journal Software User and Reference
Guide for the XP12000/XP10000/SVS200.
NOTE: You can use the XP Remote Web Console for
XP24000/XP20000 and XP12000/XP10000/SVS200 to check the cache
size. Contact your HP technical support if you need to add to the cache.
You must register the journal volumes with the journal group by using
the XP Remote Web Console.

XP Continuous Access Synchronous Software or XP Continuous
Access Asynchronous Software must be enabled.

instructions for changing the port configuration and a description of the
required cache.

or the Remote Console for XP512/XP48 to check the cache size.

The settings specified in XP Continuous Access Software can be shared with XP Continuous Access Journal Software.
However, in XP Continuous Access Journal Software, the settings must be specified for both storage subsystems used for the P-
