The following shows an example of executing the command:

The following shows an example of executing the command:
# /opt/CVXPAE/Base/bin/hcmdshpsimcert -import -host host01
CAUTION: For host-name-of-HP-SIM-server, you can specify a logical host name or an IP
address.
4. Register the URL of Device Manager in HP SIM.
Add the definition file CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml of the Device Manager tool to HP SIM. The
CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml file is located in the following directory. The following shows the
location of the CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml file. To use this file, transfer the file to the HP SIM
server.
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-the-Device-Manager-
server\Server\config\CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml
In Linux:
installation-directory-for-the-Device-Manager-
server/Server/config/CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml
CAUTION: Assume that in step 1, you set a port other than 23016 as the SSL communication port
of HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service. In that case, before adding CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml to
HP SIM, change the portion indicating 23016 in CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml to the set port
number.
Execute the following command to add CVXPAE_HPSIMTool.xml to HP SIM:
HP-SIM-installation-directory/bin/mxtool -af definition-file-path-of-
the-tool
IMPORTANT: For details about how to use the mxtool command, see the HP SIM documentation.
5. Using the GUI of HP SIM, detect the server onto which Device Manager was installed.
If the server has already been detected, you need not perform this step. For details on
detection, see the HP Systems Insight Manager Installation and Configuration Guide.
6. If necessary, use the GUI of HP SIM to add users who are to use XP Command View AE Suite.
When a user is to use XP Command View AE Suite, the HP SIM user ID will be domain-
name\HP-SIM-user-name. The available characters used for specifying domain-name\HP-
SIM-user-name (except \) and the number of those characters must follow the rules for
specifying a Device Manager user ID. For details on these rules, see the manual HP
StorageWorks XP Command View Advanced Edition software Device Manager user guide.
If there is no user ID that follows these rules, add a user. For details on how to add a user, see
the HP Systems Insight Manager Installation and Configuration Guide.
IMPORTANT: When web client of Device Manager is started from HP SIM and XP Remote Web
Console is started from web client of Device Manager, the user ID displayed in XP Remote Web
