8 DESCRIPTION: Database registration
attempts fail when the Device Manager
server is installed in a Windows cluster
environment.
CAUSE: The termination code of the
hcmdsdbclustersetup command is 250
(data import processing has failed).
SOLUTION: Perform the following procedures in
the order given to restore the system.
If the database has been backed up:
1 Perform recovery from the database backup.
For details, see subsection
3-7-2 .
2 If you want to continue the cluster
environment settings, first perform the
procedure for executing the
hcmdsdbclustersetup command to
migrate the database to the shared disk.
If an XP Command View AE Suite whose
version is earlier than 5.7 has been installed,
stop the service of that product, and then
migrate the database.
If the database has not been backed up:
1 Execute the following two commands to
restore the state of Device Manager.
<common component installation
folder>\HDB\bin\pduxenv
<common component installation
folder>\HDB\bin\pdrels -r HDVM_RD
The following shows an example of executing
the commands:
C:\Program
Files\CVXPAE\Base\HDB\BIN\pdntcmd
.bat
C:\Program
Files\CVXPAE\Base\HDB\BIN\pdrels
-r HDVM_RD
2 Uninstall the Device Manager server. For
details about how to perform uninstallation,
see subsection
3-8-1 .
3 Install the Device Manager server. For details
about how to perform installation, see
subsection 3-2-2
4 To continue the cluster environment settings,
first perform the appropriate step listed below:
If database registration failed while
performing the installation procedure in
subsection
3-3-3 , perform the operations
from step 2 in subsection
3-3-3-1 .
If database registration failed while
performing the installation procedure in
subsection
3-4 , perform the operations from
step 3.
9 DESCRIPTION: SSL communication with
SMI-S Provider is disabled because SSL
configuration for SMI-S failed during Device
Manager server installation.
CAUSE: An unexpected error occurred
while configuring SSL for SMI-S.
SOLUTION: Use the HiKeytool command to
configure SSL for SMI-S.
