1-4-1 Required and optional storage system software
Other management tools and application program interfaces (APIs) are required or optional for
using the Device Manager to manage storage subsystems.
CAUTION: When you replace the microcode for a storage subsystem that is already registered as
a Device Manager management target, you need not stop the Device Manager server. However,
you must not change the configuration of the storage subsystem during the microcode update (by
performing, for example, refresh and path operations). After the microcode is successfully
replaced, refresh the storage subsystem.
