○ In the Preferred Owners dialog box, move the executing node and standby node from
Available nodes to Preferred owners.
○ Select Finish.
3. Register the IP address of the Device Manager server to that resource group. If that address
has already been used to register another resource group, move the IP address to the resource
group created or selected in step 2. To move the IP address, right-click on the left side of the
Cluster Administrator window, then select New > Resource. Specify the following settings:
○ Resource name: Type the name.
○ Resource Type: IP Address
○ Group: Select the register destination.
○ Possible Owners: Select Next.
○ Dependencies: Select Next.
○ TCP/IP Address Parameters: Device Manager server IP address
○ Subnet mask: Input the value.
○ Select Finish.
4. Register the shared disk in the resource group. If the shared disk has already been registered
in another resource group, move the shared disk to the resource group that you previously
created or selected. Right-click on the left side of the Cluster Administrator window, then select
New > Resource. Specify the following settings:
○ Name: Type the resource name.
○ Resource Type: Physical Disk. Select the destination group, and then select Next.
○ Possible Owners: Select Next.
○ Dependencies: Select Next.
○ Disk Parameters: Specify the shared disk.
○ Select Finish.
5. Register the HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service as a resource. Right-click on the left side of the
Cluster Administrator window, and select New > Resource. Specify the following settings:
○ New Resource
− Name: Mgmt Web Service
− Resource type: Generic Service
○ Possible Owners: Make sure that the executing and standby nodes have been added.
○ Dependencies: Register the drive of the shared disk.
○ Generic Service Parameters:
− Service name: HBaseStgMgmtWebService
− Start parameters: Specify nothing.
○ Registry Replication: Specify nothing.
○ Select Finish.
6. Register the HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service as a resource. Right-click on the left side
of the Cluster Administrator window, and select New > Resource. Specify the following
settings:
○ New Resource
− Name: Mgmt Common Service
− Resource type: Generic Service
○ Possible Owners: Make sure that the executing and standby nodes have been added.
○ Dependencies: Register the drive of the shared disk.
○ Generic Service Parameters:
