3. If you select a volume that is usable under certain conditions, a dialog box is displayed that indicates the
conditions and asks you to confirm that you are sure you want to select this volume.
CAUTION: If you use a volume usable under certain conditions, some data may be lost or other hosts
may lose the access privileges to the volume. Before using such a volume, check the warning message
and make sure that there are no problems.
4. If there are no problems, select the I have checked the above warning, and still want to proceed checkbox
located below the warning message.
CAUTION: If you click the OK button without selecting the checkbox, an error occurs.
5. Click the Next button. The Add File System - Step 2 of 3 dialog box is displayed. The next section shows
this dialog box and describes the settings to be specified at this step.
7-3-2 Setting Parameters
In this step, set the parameters to be used in creation of the file system. Figure 7-3 shows the Add File System
dialog box for setting the parameters (step 2 of 3).

To set the parameters (step 2 of 3 in Add File System):
1. Set the following items on the Add File System – Step 2 of 3 dialog box (refer to
Figure 7-3):
File System: Set the following file system items:
Type: Select the file system type from the pull-down list.
Mount Point: Enter the mount point. For details on restrictions on the value to be entered, see Help
for the windows.
Volume Manager: Set the following volume manager item:
Name: Select the volume manager name from the pull-down list.
2. After completing the settings, click the Next button. The Add File System - Step 3 of 3 dialog box is
displayed. The next section shows this dialog box and describes the settings to be specified at this step.
7-3-3 Confirming the Settings
In this step, confirm the contents of your settings. Figure 7-4 shows the Add File System dialog box for
confirming the settings (step 3 of 3).
