password by referring
to the Device
Manager manual.
The message “An attempt to get program product
information on host “host-name” has failed.
Error detail: “error-detail”. Host Agent Error

To check whether the

When the file is edited, the
version information about
VERITAS™ Volume
Manager might be entered
incorrectly.
Check the setting value for
the version information
about VERITAS™ Volume

correct value if necessary.
For details on entering the
correct value, see the HP

Problem Cause Recommended Action
The host list is not displayed. The Windows
®
host does not contain
the diskpart.exe command line
utility.
Execute the diskpart.exe command
line utility provided by Microsoft
®
to
expand a data volume. Install
diskpart.exe in Windows-system-
installation-
directory\system32.
If Dynamic Link Manager is being used,
its revision or version is not supported
by Provisioning Manager.
Change Dynamic Link Manager to the
revision or version that is supported by
Provisioning Manager.
VERITAS™ Volume Manager is
installed on the Windows
®
host.
If VERITAS™ Volume Manager is
installed in Windows
®
, the prerequisite
software for the provisioning support
facility provided by the Device Manager
agent cannot be used, and
consequently, the host setting function
cannot be used. If the host setting
function is to be used in Windows
®
, do
not install VERITAS™ Volume
Manager.
After a path to a logical unit has been
deleted by Device Manager, the file
systems and device files corresponding
to that path are still displayed on
Provisioning Manager.
After the path to the logical unit was
deleted, the host has not been updated.
In the Host Name subwindow, update
the host to bring the host information up
to date. For details on the operation,
see section
6-6 .
