Troubleshooting 146
Table 11-5 Troubleshooting Information: Host Information Display (continues on the next page)
Problem Cause Recommended Action
An error occurs when performing host
refresh operations on a host.
The hldutil command executed
during the host refresh operations timed
out.
Change the
server.util.processTimeOut
value in the installation-
directory/agent/config/server
.properties file as required.
When VERITAS™ File System that was
created in Solaris™ with VERITAS™
Volume Manager is viewed, some
device names are not displayed in the
device file list.
If VERITAS™ File System is created
with VERITAS™ Volume Manager, the
second slice of the disk is a raw device
that constitutes a volume group and is
thus not displayed.
No action is required.
The same error message occurs
repeatedly even though the host
information is updated using
troubleshooting for the error message
displayed in the host subwindow.
There might be an inconsistency
between the host information retained
by Provisioning Manager server and the
actual host status.
Click the Refresh link from the host-
name subwindow to update the host
information to the latest.
An incorrect number of paths is
displayed in the Show Data Path dialog
box.
This volume is not managed by
Dynamic Link Manager.
Check the Dynamic Link Manager
manual to determine whether the
volume has been removed from the
management scope due to the use of a
path manager other than Dynamic Link
Manager. If possible, place the volume
under the management of Dynamic Link
Manager.
Dynamic Link Manager and VERITAS™
Volume Manager are not displayed in
the Show Properties - host-name
subwindow, even though they have
been installed.
The Device Manager agent might not
recognize that Dynamic Link Manager
and VERITAS™ Volume Manager have
been installed.
Restart the Device Manager agent.
