Figure 3-9 shows the relationship between the file system and device file that can be seen from the host, and
the LU in the subsystem. This figure assumes that there are two paths between the host and the subsystem LU
for when HDLM is being used.

3-4-2 Expanding a File System
Once you specify the file system you wish to expand and select a volume (LU) to be added from among the
volumes (LUs) allocated to the host, Provisioning Manager can automatically perform the process of expanding
the file system. However, the file system must have been created using a volume manager.
The volume specified to be added (a raw device or an HDLM device) is added to the volume group. The logical
volume configured from that volume group is then expanded, as is the file system on this logical volume.
