HP StorageWorks XP Provisioning Manager User Guide (December 2005)

Managing Storage Pools 82
Including Size of Child Groups: displays the storage pool usage status for the access scope of
C_Group01. The figure below shows the corresponding scope within the scopes illustrated in Figure 5-1.
IMPORTANT: As shown in Figure 5-2, when the scope of C_Group01 overlaps the scope of C_Group02,
the capacity of the overlapped part is counted in both C_Group01 and C_Group02.
In
Figure 5-2, the volume contents that can be viewed by each user group are as follows:
P_Group including its child groups = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 100 GB
P_Group not including its child groups = 1 = 50 GB
C_Group01 including its child groups = 2 + 3 = 30 GB
C_Group02 not including its child groups = 3 + 4 = 30 GB
Therefore, the total capacity of P_Group not including its child groups, C_Group01 including its child groups,
and C_Group02 not including its child groups is larger than the capacity of P_Group including its child groups.
