HP Insight Management 7.3 Installation and Configuration Guide

Figure 12 Automatic sign-in configuration
(Optional) Enabling automatic sign-in after the installation reboot
NOTE: When installing via Remote Desktop and using automatic sign-in to reboot to the original
installation session, you must include the /admin or /console switch to reconnect remotely
through the remote desktop after the system reboot. In addition, the system uses the native screen
resolution of the local operating system which might cause changes in screen resolution after the
reboot when accessing the CMS through Remote Desktop. To avoid these changes, verify that the
Remote Desktop resolution is the same as the resolution of the CMS operating system.
1. Check Enable Automatic sign-in.
By default, Enable Automatic sign-in is checked. This option is useful for a successful installation
process without user intervention because it avoids the post-reboot manual sign-in to the system
during the installation process.
When checked the system logs on to the operating system after the reboot by using the
credentials entered.
2. Enter the password of the user currently signed in.
The values in the User name and Domain fields cannot be changed because the user who
logged in when the installation was started must also be the user who logs on after the
automatic reboot.
IMPORTANT: When installing or upgrading on a Japanese operating system, use Roman
characters for all user name, password, and installation path fields.
3. Click Next.
Step 12: Setting a proxy configuration
The Proxy configuration (optional) screen enables you to enter proxy settings if your network
requires proxy server to access the Internet.
