Insight Control server migration requires iSCSI Software Initiator.Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 can be installed and present on the CMS, but it cannot be set as the default.

The Insight Management DVD only includes Microsoft .NET 2.0 SP1. All other versions must be installed separately.

Microsoft Silverlight does not support the Firefox browser on a Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.
CMS supported databases
Insight Management requires a supported database for the CMS. If the CMS does not currently
have a supported database installed on it or does not have access to a remote database, you must
install a database before you install Insight Management.
IMPORTANT: Insight Management requires the Microsoft SQL Server database to be configured
in non-binary collation mode. Binary collation mode is not supported.

If you must install a database, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP2 (32-bit) is included on
HP Insight Management 7.3 DVD #1.
If you wish to upgrade an existing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express installation, you may
download and install the SP2 patch located at the following website: http://www.microsoft.com/
en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30437.
NOTE: Microsoft SQL Server is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Insight Management
only carries the 32-bit version of SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP2. Thus, it only installs a 32-bit
SQL Server Express version as a fresh install. You must manually upgrade all installed SQL Server
editions and versions, including 64-bit versions, to an edition and version listed in Table 21 (page
19).
