Supported hypervisor hosts and VM guests
Table 57 (page 58) lists hypervisor hosts and VM guests supported on managed systems.
Insight Control virtual machine management does not support VMware ESX or ESXi download
editions or VMware ESX/ESXi servers without a valid license.
In Table 57 (page 58), the letter h (host) in a column means that the corresponding application
manages this hypervisor running as a VM host. Similarly, the letter g (guest) in a column means
that the corresponding application supports VM guests under this hypervisor.
Integrity VM Manager supports the Integrity VM hypervisors listed in Table 57 (page 58).
Matrix KVM Private Cloud only supports RHEL KVM 6.3 and RHEL KVM 6.4 as a hypervisor and
supports all guest OS that are supported by RHEL KVM 6.3 and RHEL KVM 6.4. For more
information, see http://www.redhat.com/resourcelibrary/articles/
enterprise-linux-virtualization-support.
Hypervisor hosts are not supported for DR-protection with Matrix recovery management, including
hosts managed via a VC-hosted logical server.
Insight Control server provisioning supports ESXi, Hyper-V and KVM. To verify that a particular
server supports a specific hypervisor, see the following certification and support website: http://
h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/windows/index.html.
