Data Center Power Control works only on Primary Addresses of a system and cannot detect a system with a non-primary
address. If a system has IPV4 as a primary address and IPV6 as a non-primary address, Data Center Power Control only
works with the IPV4 address.
2
For VMhost with only an IPV6 address. Data Center Power Control cannot perform a graceful shutdown of guests. It will
only shutdown the hosts.
3
The Intelligent Power discovery feature is not supported when iPDU is configured with iPV6 addresses only
4
For Enclosure Dynamic Power Capping, iLO 2 version 1.70 or later. Otherwise, iLO 2 version 2 1.30 or later.
For Enclosure Dynamic Power Capping, OA 2.30 or later. Otherwise, OA 1.30 or later.
5
When you are implementing power capping for HP BladeSystem, HP recommends that you use Enclosure Dynamic Power
Capping set through the Onboard Administrator or Insight Control power management user interface. To use Enclosure
Dynamic Power Capping, you must upgrade your iLO 2 firmware to version 1.70 or later and iLO 3 to version 1.0 or
later. HP recommends that you update your system ROM to version 10/1/2008 or later for iLO 2, and May 2010 or
later for iLO 3 for G7 servers. For some older BL460c servers, the iLO 2 firmware might not be able to automatically
update the Dynamic Power Capping hardware circuit. In these instances, the Onboard Administrator will compensate
for the absence of the internal hardware circuit and continue to guarantee circuit protection.
6
This server model does not support HP Dynamic Power Savings mode.
