Create a reusable Matrix infrastructure orchestration service template for
VMware ESXi host deployments
An infrastructure orchestration template specifies the server, network, and storage requirements for an infrastructure
service, as well as the software sources to be used for automatic software deployment. Once the template for deploying an
ESXi host has been designed and published, it can be reused to consistently deploy ESXi hosts, whenever they are needed.
Before designing the template, an Insight Control OS Build Plan or Insight Control server deployment software job is created
that infrastructure orchestration can use to deploy a VMware ESXi host to a physical server blade. In order to create a
service from the published template, appropriate server, storage and network resources must be available and configured
for infrastructure orchestration.
Note
An HP-provided custom ESXi distribution is required; please refer to Customize VMware ESXi Images
(http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/software/vmware/esxi-image.html), and to the Knowledge Base article
