Introduction This document describes the upgrade of Matrix infrastructure orchestration Operations Orchestration 9.00 subset (embedded OO) hosted on the Central Management Server (CMS) to full Operations Orchestration 9.00 (full OO) hosted on a separate server. Matrix OE infrastructure orchestration is a software package providing core automation of data center infrastructure lifecycle operations to enable the creation of a self–service datacenter.

CMS updates and upgrades In case the CMS has been upgraded (e.g. 6.3 to 6.3U1, 6.3 to 7.0, 7.0 to 7.1, 7.1 to 7.2, 7.2 to 7.2U1…) all the steps provided in this document must be re-executed to guarantee the updated files are carried on to the OO server. The full OO version must also be reviewed to match or exceed the embedded OO version deployed in the CMS. This is especially important after major upgrades (6.3 to 7.0, 6.3 to 7.1, 7.0 to 7.1…).

1. Open a Command Prompt 2. Type echo %ICONCLUDE_HOME% and press Enter To share OO folder on the OO server: 1. In Windows Explorer, go to %ICONCLUDE_HOME% 2. In Hewlett-Packard, right-click ESA d. Select Repository -> Export as New Repository e. In Select Repository Directory, navigate to the desired destination directory accessible to the OO server (e.g. \\\C$\tmp\ESA) f. Click Save g. Note: OO Export Repository uses an exclusion list.

Copy XSL, XML and HTML files to the OO server To copy infrastructure orchestration XSL, XML and HTML files that are used by the infrastructure orchestration OO flows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Create the HPIO folder on the OO server: a. On the CMS in Windows Explorer go to full OO share \\\OO b. Select File -> New -> Folder c. Enter the folder name: HPIO Copy XSL and HTML files from the CMS to the OO server: d. On the CMS in Windows Explorer, go to %HPIO_HOME%\conf\OO e.

Using New SMTP Service If the customer does not have an SMTP service (to relay emails) in their environment and the OO server’s operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition, you can refer to Microsoft documentation on how to install it in the system. If the OO server has a different operating system, there are several SMTP services available that may be downloaded from the Web and installed instead. After installing the new SMTP service follow the instructions of the next section.

Confirm infrastructure orchestration is using the correct OO password On the CMS during the DVD installation, the customer entered OO Central’s Admin user password. On the OO server, the Central may have been installed with a different Admin user password (possibly for network security). For IO to access the OO server, it must be updated with OO server Central’s Admin user password. To update infrastructure orchestration on the CMS with the OO server Central’s Admin user password: 1.
