IMPORTANT: HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager (formerly HP StorageWorks Replication
Solutions Manager EVA) supports all HP P6000/Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) models. General
references to HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager may also refer to earlier versions of HP
Replication Solutions Manager EVA.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager is also known as the replication manager.
This document contains information for the following HP P6000 replication software products:
• HP P6000 Business Copy
• HP P6000 Continuous Access
• HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.5
• HP P6000 Dynamic Capacity Management

Update recommendation
HP recommends that all users upgrade to HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.5.
Enhancements
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.5 includes the following enhancements and changes:
• HP P6000 Command View—Version support for HP P6000 Command View 10.1 added.
• Support has been added for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1
IMPORTANT: JRE 1.4 is required to install HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Host Agent
5.5 on HP-UX and Solaris x86 platforms. After installing HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager
Host Agent 5.5, you can upgrade JRE to Version 1.6. However, you must retain JRE 1.4 on the machine
running HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Host Agent 5.5. If you remove JRE 1.4, uninstalling
the replication manager may fail.
Fixes
• RSM service does not start up on Windows x64 systems—The RSM service now starts reliably on
Windows x64 systems.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager

simplifies and automates the use of HP P6000 Business Copy and HP P6000 Continuous Access. This
