HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager User Guide (T3680-96089, October 2012)

IPv6 IP addresses with port numbers are enclosed in brackets to avoid confusion with port
numbers, for example:
https://[2001:0db8:85a3:08d3:1319:8a2e:0370:7344]:443/.
IPv4 addresses with port number do not use brackets.
Jobs email server configuration
You can configure the replication manager to use an email server to send messages from jobs.
Default: No email server is specified.
To configure an email server, you must know its network name and a user name and password
to access the email application.
See also SendEmail and SetNotificationPolicy job commands.
For the procedure, see Accessing the configuration window.
Jobs run history configuration
You can configure the number of run histories (job instances) per job that are displayed in the GUI
and retained in the database.
Default: 7 run histories per job
The minimum is 1 run history per job. The maximum is limited only by practical considerations
such as readability in the GUI and RSM database size and performance.
When the limit is exceeded, a job's oldest run history is no longer displayed and the (job
instance) record is deleted from the database.
For the procedure, see Accessing the configuration window.
Licenses configuration (applications)
You can review and add HP application-integration licenses to the replication manager
configuration.
Review details of installed HP application-integration licenses.
Retrieve an HP application-integration license key file from a website.
Add a retrieved license key to the RSM database.
For the general configuration procedure, see Accessing the configuration window.
Logs configuration
See Event log and Trace log.
Event log configuration
You can configure when the replication manager event log is rolled. When the log is rolled, the
current event log is saved as an historical log and new current log is started.
Default: roll over on size. The current event log is rolled when its size exceeds 10 MB.
Instead of size, you can configure the event log to roll on a regular interval. Interval choices
include every hour, day, week, or month.
You can delete historical event logs by using the configuration window.
Properties. See Event log.
For the procedure, see Accessing the configuration window. See also Viewing events.
