HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager CLI Reference (T3680-96071, June 2012)

4 Troubleshooting
This chapter offers suggestions for troubleshooting and resolving problems that can occur while
using the CLUI.
Mounts and unmounts appear to fail in the CLUI
Mounts and unmounts of host volumes can appear to fail when you use the CLUI. For example, if
you use the set host_agent command to unmount a host volume, and then immediately issue
a show host_agent command, the result shows the host volume is still mounted. The set
host_agent command starts an implicit job to unmount the host volume and returns the success
code before the job completes.
Wait a minute to allow the implicit job to complete. You can view the status of the job in the GUI.
When the job is complete, another CLUI command will show the expected status.
Ports in use
When you execute several commands, the last command fails and the Connection to Command
View EVA failed error message is displayed. You close and reopen the CLUI and the following
message appears:
Illegal access to Command Line UI Panel.
The management server port that is assigned to the CLUI is being used by another application. To
resolve this issue, close the CLUI and restart the replication manager services. Restarting the services
releases ports that are in use. Open the CLUI and execute the commands again. They should now
complete successfully.
