Creating a new database
1. Next, an HP Device Manager Database Setup dialog appears. Select Create New Database, then
click Next.
NOTE:
Since it’s the first time installing HP Device Manager, you have to create a new
database.
2. HP Device Manager supports two database types:
o PostgreSQL—HP Device Manager’s embedded database. There is no need to do any
other database configurations if you choose it.
o MS SQL Server—If you choose it, you should have already created an MS SQL Server
database for you to connect to (please refer to MS SQL Server documentation).
In this example, we will be choosing PostgreSQL.
