Using Event Flow Model
HP Storage Management Pack integrates multiple types of data collection to enable complete coverage
of all HP Storage products. Table 1 lists the data collection options and the corresponding product
types.
You can use the following methods to deliver data to System Center:
• WEBES
• SNMP
• WMI
NOTE:
Before you install the software, you must plan the deployment. Depending on the types of storage
products you are using, you must identify the locations where you want to install and run the various
management components.
Using WEBES
In the WEBES Event Flow model, you need two to four systems to configure events to flow from the
Storage Device Manager (HP Command View) to System Center. The following figure shows the
WEBES Event Flow model:
